Standing quadriceps stretch

  • The quadriceps stretch can be completed standing or when lying on your side.
  • In the standing stretch, you have weight-bearing stress on other structures, which decreases the subtlety of your awareness in the quadriceps muscles.

Standing with support from the wall for the quadriceps stretch. Grasp the lower shin. Also ensure normal head and upper back posture.

  • In addition, many players are not patient enough to allow the time necessary for the muscle relaxation/elongation to occur when they are standing.
